Our Mission

CECUVIRA USA-CANADA is a non-profit organization, registered in the United States, that promotes solidarity among the Bavira people in North America and uses their cultural, social, and economic heritage to contribute to the community’s prosperity.

Our mission is to promote, safeguard, and protect the culture of the Bavira people in North America by building a united, prosperous, and culturally enriched community.

The mission of CECUVIRA USA-Canada is to address the socioeconomic and cultural challenges faced by the Bavira people in the United States, Canada, and Uvira, thereby achieving tangible change.

Objectives

A. General Objective.
The general objective of CECUVIRA USA-Canada is to safeguard and promote socioeconomic, cultural, linguistic, and artistic resources, thereby contributing to the development of the Bavira community in the United States, Canada, and Uvira.

CECUVIRA STATEMENT

We, the Bavira people living in the United States of America and Canada,

Driven by a sense of unity and love based on Tata Leza Kabezya Mpungu, our God, protector of our land, its people, and the resources He has blessed,

United by the cultural values of brotherly love, peace, cohesion, and mutual support bequeathed by our ancestors and the founding fathers of the Vira Cultural Circle,

Convinced that every people has the inalienable right to preserve and promote its culture, folklore, and economic and linguistic resources through art, music, theater, and all forms of artistic and/or cultural expression;
